Mission Statement

The Institute will conduct research, deliver training and develop policies and best practice standards to support First Nations child and family service agencies in Saskatchewan.

Strategic Opportunities

The following strategic opportunities are facing the Saskatchewan First Nations Family and Community Institute, Inc.:

1. Integrity and a good working relationship with funders – AANDC and MSS.

2. Participate in the Saskatchewan Child and Youth Agenda particularly in relation to Child Welfare.

3. Collaborate with renowned university researchers and centres of excellence.

4. Build credibility and expertise in governance, standards, policies, program design and service delivery capacity for First Nations.

5. Strengthen collaboration with First Nations agencies and communities.
